Course of the war[]

Russian invasion of Ukraine (2022)[]

Background[]

After the collapse of the Soviet Union (USSR) in 1991, Ukraine and Russia kept up with close ties. In 1994, Ukraine consented to acquiesce to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as a non-nuclear weapon state, and previous Soviet atomic weapons in Ukraine were dismantled, making Ukraine being abstained from Nuclear arsenals. consequently, Russia, the United Kingdom (UK), and the US (US) consented to maintain the regional respectability of Ukraine through the Budapest Referendum. In 1999, Russia was one of the signatories of the European Security Charter, which "reaffirmed the inalienable right of each participating state to be free to choose or change its security arrangements, including alliance treaties, as they evolve while continuously develop."

In the years after the collapse of the Soviet Union and in the years before its referendum, several former Eastern Bloc countries joined NATO, partly in response to the 1993 Russian constitutional crisis, the War of Abkhazia (1992-1993), and partly in response to regional security threats. First Chechen War (1994–1996). Russian leaders have described this expansion as a violation of Western powers' assurances that NATO will not expand eastward, but such claims, if true, have been made unofficially and their nature has been severely disputed.

The 2004 presidential elections in Ukraine were controversial, as during the election campaign, the pro-European candidate of the integration opposition, Viktor Yushchenko, was poisoned with TCDD dioxin; later suggested Russian intervention. In November, Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych was the winner, despite the election observers' allegations that the vote was rigged. During the two-month period known as the Orange Revolution, large peaceful protests successfully challenged the outcome. After the Supreme Court of Ukraine annulled the original result due to widespread election fraud, a second round took place as Yushchenko came to power and left Yanukovych in opposition...

In regard of these events, Anthony Cordesman, an American analyst, said that the Russian military officers saw the Orange Revolution, as well as subsequent pro-democracy color revolutions in post-Soviet republics, as a Western-inspired attempt to undermine Russia's national security. The 2011–2013 Russian protests were portrayed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as his allies, as an effort to bring the Orange Revolution to Russia. During this time, pro-Putin rallies were dubbed "anti-Orange protests."

Ukraine and Georgia both togetherly applied for NATO membership during the 2008 Bucharest summit. NATO countries were divided over whether to issue Membership Action Plans (MAPs) to avoid antagonizing Russia, while US President George W. Bush opted for their adoption. NATO eventually refused to grant MAPs to Ukraine and Georgia, but issued a statement saying that "these countries will become NATO members." Russian President Putin has loudly opposed Georgia and Ukraine joining NATO. Later, Putin was pleased about the alliance deciding not to invite Georgia and Ukraine to the Membership Action Plan (MAP), at least for the time being...

On February 7, 2019, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, voted to amend the constitution to make the country's long-term goal of joining the European Union (EU) and NATO. However, in the months leading up to the 2022 invasion, the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO remained unlikely.

Euromaidan Protests, Revolution of Dignity and Annexation of Crimea[]

In 2009, Yanukovych reported his aim to once more run for president within the 2010 Ukrainian presidential election, which he hence won. In November 2013, he reported he would not sign the EU–Ukraine Affiliation Understanding, in spite of overpowering back for the settlement inside the Verkhovna Rada, instep choosing closer ties to Russia and the Eurasian Financial Union. Russia had put weight on Ukraine to dismiss the assention.

On December 8, 2013, hundreds of thousands of people took part in a demonstration on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti ("Independence Square") in Kiev. Some media reported over a million demonstrators. Despite the above-average presence of the police and evacuation attempts, the protests continued. In February 2014, 100 demonstrators and 13 policemen were killed in clashes in Kiev between protesters and the Berkut special police; most of the victims were shot by police snipers. On 21 February 2014, Yanukovych and parliamentary resistance pioneers marked an understanding calling for an between times government and early races. The taking after day, Yanukovych fled Kyiv and afterward Ukraine; parliament in this way voted to evacuate him from office. Pioneers in Russian-speaking eastern Ukraine pronounced proceeding dependability to Yanukovych, creating a pro-Russian unrest.

The unrest was followed by Russia's annexation of Crimea in March 2014 and the war in Donbass, which began in April 2014 with the formation of two Russian-backed separatist quasi-states: the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic. Russian troops were involved in the conflict.

The Minsk assentions were marked in September 2014 and February 2015 in a offered to halt the battling, in spite of the fact that ceasefires more than once failed. A debate risen over the part of Russia: Normandy Arrange individuals France, Germany, and Ukraine saw Minsk as an assention between Russia and Ukraine, while Russia demanded Ukraine ought to arrange specifically with the two separatist republics (that's Donetsk and Luhansk Republics). In 2021, Putin refused offers from Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for high-level talks, and the Russian government subsequently endorsed an article by the former president, Dmitry Medvedev, arguing it was pointless to deal with Ukraine while it remained a "vassal" of the USA.

The annexation of Crimea sparked a new wave of Russian nationalism, with the desire of a large part of the Russian neo-imperial movement to annex more Ukrainian territory, including the unrecognized Novorossiya (New Russia). Analyst Vladimir Socor argued that Putin's 2014 speech after the annexation of Crimea was a de facto "manifesto of Greater Russian Irredentism." In July 2021, Putin published an article entitled "On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians", reaffirming the view that Russians and Ukrainians are "one people".

Massive Escalations[]

Prior to the Russian invasion of Ukrainian mainland, Russia has recognized the Donetsk People's Republic and the Luhansk People's Republic, two self-proclaimed statelets in Donbas controlled by pro-Russian separatists, on February 21, 2022. The next day, Russia's Federation Council authorized the use of military force abroad, and Russian troops openly entered both territories.

On 24 February 2022, Putin made a speech about several topics regarding the crisis, even spoke the impossibility of reaching an agreement with NATO on equal terms and accused the military alliance of advancing to the east. Putin mentioned the enlargement of NATO frequently in his address, calling it "unacceptable", along with the military development of Ukraine.

He said: "As NATO expands to the east, with every passing year, the situation for our country is getting worse and more dangerous. Moreover, in recent days the leadership of NATO has been openly talking about the need to speed up, force the advancement of the alliance's infrastructure to the borders of Russia. In other words, they are doubling down on their position. We can no longer just watch what is happening. It would be absolutely irresponsible on our part."

Invasion and resistance[]

The invasion began on the morning of February 24, when Putin, during his speech, declared a "special military operation" to "demilitarize and denazifiy" Ukraine.

A few minutes after Putin's announcement, explosions were reported in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Donbas. Ukrainian officials said Russian troops had landed in Mariupol and Odesa and launched cruise and ballistic missiles at airfields, military headquarters and military depots in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipro. Military vehicles entered Ukraine through Senkivka, at the point where Ukraine meets Belarus and Russia, at around 6:48 am local time. Later, according to former Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko, who is now an official government adviser, just after 06:30 (UTC+2), Russian troops invaded from the land near the city of Kharkiv and large-scale amphibious assaults were landed. This was reported in Mariupol.

The west still acts as violently as possible to spoil and try and disrupt and/or blur facts and information across the world, such as this alleged preparation on invading Poland. The whole plot of this, including the others, are plotted well with a joint of jackals and Anglo-Saxons. This fact comes as no suprise by yet it again. In fact, the West is, and to this day, trying to destabilize the situation in Minsk with no mercy or respect. Certain external forces are making attempts to destabilize the situation in Minsk. Russia has been attractive to Western countries, especially the US and the European Union. AS WE SAY OVERTIME, YOU ALWAYS SHOULD BE SERIOUSLY AWARE IN SUCH CASES OF REPORTS LIKE THIS. Take for example: the EU required the talks around Organization Needs with Belarus for one reason as it were, to form Belarus deny the union with Russia. This would cruel the conclusion of Belarus as a sovereign country. The Chamber of the EU too embraced the Visa help understanding between Belarus and the EU in arrange to check Belarus-Russia integration. On the more of the "allegations"? Well, the same thing; trying to take Russia's and Belarus' wings away, end the normal times of wellbeings of both sovereign nations...
