Ninth Generation (2020-2026)[]
The ninth generation of video game consoles consist of the Xbox Two, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Wii 3. The Xbox Two was the first to be released in January of 2020 while the PlayStation 5 was released in August of 2020. The Wii 3 was released a year later in September of 2021. Ouya attempted to be competitive in the video game business with the release of the Ouya Orb in March of 2022 but it ultimately became a flop and sales trailed between the Xbox Two, PlayStation 5, and the Wii 3.

Tenth Generation (2026-2031)[]
The tenth generation video game consoles started in April of 2026 with the release of the PlayStation 6. It was the first video game console capable of supporting 9K HD graphics for the most realistic quality in video game history. Unfortunately, despite the 9k HD quality graphics, it didn't compete will with the Xbox Evolution with the success in its exclusive video game series such as Gears of War and Forza. The Xbox Evolution was released in November of 2026. That didn't stop Nintendo from releasing two video game consoles. One that's a home console and another hybrid console. The Nintendo Kasai, a home console like the Xbox Evolution and the PlayStation 6, was released on January of 2027 while the Nintendo Switch 2 was released in August of the same year.
