Earth, officially the United Federation of Earth, is the third planet from Sun Prime (known as the Sun during the early 21st century.
It was founded on the 21st of September 2160, following an unanimous decision by all governments on Earth to unite together. Since the early 22nd century, there had been increased demands for a unified Earth caused largely by the elimination of language barriers due to advancements in universal translators, traditional nationalist values being replaced by planetist values and establishment of a universal standard of living across the Earth. The independence of Mars in 2125 and the independence of Luna (known as the Moon in the early 21st century) in 2159 had further intensified the demands.
