"Nos Sunt Mors ab Umbras" (From Latin to English: "We Are Death from the Shadows") - The Official Motto of Task Force: Black-Ops.
Shadow Operations, commonly referred as "Task Force: Black-Ops", formerly "Black Berets", or at rare occasions "Ghost Faction", was a Covert Operations Task Force established by Jax Torellio on July 4, 2022, one month after the Second American Revolutionary War. Originally the Task Force was going to be established as another Special Force like the Green Berets, but the task force was officially rebranded for Covert Operations. Task Force: Black-Ops formed from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and was supposed to act like the CIA, but due to the Task Force's brutal training, only 50 members were able to make it from their harsh exercises... others either forfeit or were severely injured.

Creation[]
Before they were called Shadow Operations, they were originally called "Black Berets". The Black Berets were founded by Jax Torellio, a Legal Immigrant from Italy, on July 4, 2022, One Month After the Second American Civil War. After it's creation, the Black Berets would eventually go on search & rescue missions and soon defense missions as well.
"Shadow Stories": Third Gulf War[]
After successfully evacuating thousands of injured civilians from a Turkish Hospital under siege from Iran, the survivors of the Black Berets tried to hold off the invasion for as long as they could... during the fight, over 100 Black Berets were killed or wounded... those who were wounded were shot and killed by the enemy. With their soldiers dead, the remaining surviving Black Berets hid in the bodies of their fallen comrades and slain enemies during a treacherous sandstorm, the combination of both the storm and the blood of the soldiers made an impromptu, yet perfect camouflage. They (the Black Berets) only used their pistols; but when they ran out of bullets, they used their knives; and when their knives got dull, they used their fists. They fought against the final advancement and wiped every single Iranian Soldier in their presence out, but they decided to let one live... that Iranian man was indeed a captain. While the Black Berets escaped with their dead comrades without a trace, The Iranian survivor was later picked up by his reinforcement when the battle was at its end and he described them as "supernatural". That’s where the they got their name, "Shadows of the Dark", their Task Force's name, "Shadow Operations, and their motto, "Nos Sunt Mors ab Umbras" ("We Are Death from the Shadows").
