Inter-war Period[]
- Executive Branch: The leader of Mars is the President of Mars, elected by an electoral college composed of the members of the Senate and the General Assembly.
- Legislative Branch: The Congress of Mars is composed of two houses. The upper house is the Senate and the lower house is the General Assembly.
- Senate: The Senate is composed of 125 members. Among these are 45 senators appointed by military leadership, 25 senators appointed by the Martian Academy of Sciences, 20 senators appointed by the Martian Academy of Arts, 20 members appointed by the Martian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and 15 members appointed by the National Association of Employees. All senators may serve for an unlimited number of 6-year terms.
- General Assembly: The General Assembly is composed of 777 members elected by honourably discharged veterans from across the planet to represent local interests at the national level. Assembly Members (AM) may serve an unlimited number of 3-year terms.
- Judicial Branch: The Supreme Court is composed of 19 Justices appointed by the President with the confirmation of the House of Officers to serve for a term of 17 years. 10 members must be former military officers, 9 members must have been civilians their whole lives.

The Martian Armed Forces consists of 3 branches - the Martian Navy, the Martian Marine Corps, and the Martian Orbital Corps. Military service is mandatory for all Martian citizens of any gender or religion from the age of 18. National Service lasts for a minimum period of 2 years without pay (though conscripts are provided an allowance for personal spending), but can be voluntarily extended for a further 3 years at full conscript pay.

The Martian Navy is the main naval warfare fighting force of Mars and fields a fleet of highly advanced warships and fighter-craft. It consists of 1 million personnel.
Martian Marine Corps[]
The Martian Marines are the primary terrestrial fighting force of Mars and also serve as naval infantry. They guard Martian outposts and serve onboard Navy ships. The Marines Corps numbers 3 million strong.
Martian Orbital Corps[]
The Martian Orbital Corps operates the planet's orbital defence platforms including its long-range anti-interplanetary missile (IPM) platforms, long-range anti-naval platforms, and orbital bombardment platforms. The Orbital Corps numbers 800,000 strong, relying on heavy automation and skeletal maintenance crews.
