Life in 2030?[]
I must offer a slight dissent: I think Rainbow's End did a great job of contemplating life in 2030, relatively realistically.
It may be guilty of the merely 47-advancement problem. But it's not guilty of the single advancement problem.
- Well, eventually some Singularity fiction must get good enough. And Vinge is one of the most qualified authors to do that. I haven't read RE however (it's a recent book), so I can't judge its predictive and descriptive quality. Paranoid 15:22, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
