Life in 2030?[]

I must offer a slight dissent: I think Rainbow's End did a great job of contemplating life in 2030, relatively realistically.

It may be guilty of the merely 47-advancement problem. But it's not guilty of the single advancement problem.

Well, eventually some Singularity fiction must get good enough. And Vinge is one of the most qualified authors to do that. I haven't read RE however (it's a recent book), so I can't judge its predictive and descriptive quality. Paranoid 15:22, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
