The year is 2665, and after millenia of extracting our planet of its resources Earth is left a overpolluted, overpopulated, hyper-corrupt, and barren wasteland. Nearly twenty-two billion people live on Earth, while another ten billion live on the moon and two billion more live on a vast fleet of thousands of city-sized spaceships which orbit the Earth and moon in the 200,000+ kilometers of space in between the two planetary bodies. With a grand total of thirty-five billion humans living in this year and barely any resources left, the leaders of the remains of mankind come together and decide to create the biggest project in the history of mankind: a planetary evacuation.
Slowly at first, the remaining resources on Earth, even the materials from pre-existing buildings, are extracted and used to create many more city-sized spaceships which can hold altogether another two billion humans. The public is informed of the in-development mass exodus, and throughout the course of this scenario, mankind begins to pack up its bags and prepares to find a new home and begin anew.
