Qatar, officially the Kingdom of Qatar, is a country in Western Asia, on a small peninsula of the Arabian Peninsula. It only has a land border with the United Arab Republic, formerly Saudi Arabia. Since the Saudi-Iranian War led to the collapse of the House of Saud, Qatar has been one of the most influential states in the region along with the United Arab Emirates.
History[]
Qatar broke off from the Saudi-led Gulf Arab bloc in 2017 with the Saudi demands against the country.
Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir of Qatar, proclaimed himself King in 2025, taking an example from the monarchy of Bahrain.
