- The Montreal Expos were re-instated when the Rays relocated there in 2017 and agreed to take on the Expos name, history, colors, logos, uniforms, records etc.. and relinquish the Rays "identity". The Rays are currently in a state of Suspended Operations.
- The Marlins and Rays/Expos Switched Leagues and Divisions in 2020
- The Brewers and Astros switched Leagues and Divisons in 2020
- The Twins and Rangers relinquished their Washington Histories (1901-1960, 1961-1970) to the City of Washington which holds it in a trust. the Nationals also have the right to the Senators name but have chose not to change it.
- The Brewers relinquished their Pre-Milwaukee History and records to the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners and Pilots are recognized as one continuous team
- The Rockies and Athletics switched leagues and divisions in 2016
- The Dodgers and Giants have relinquished their Pre-California Histories in 2035 to the City of NY. The Mets however chose to retain their own identidy allowing the City of NY to build museums on the sites of the Polo Grounds and Ebbets Field (Or at least in their areas). The Mets have the right to pickup any of the histories in the event of either a change of heart or a change in ownership.
- Shea Stadium opened up as Citi Field in 2009 but was face-lifited in 2022.
- The Angels became the Anahiem Angels in 2019
