The Iranian Civil War Refers to a conflict that was fought from 2023-2025. The War was fought in the aftermath of the Allied Incursion into Iran, with armed resistance fighters seizing control over several sectors of Western Iran.

Fierce Battles[]

Iranian Civil War Pearl World Height

The Provinces most contested were Hamadan and Lorestan, where both sides fought constantly. Battles were also fought in Markazzi and Hormozgan, though Iranian Resistance fighters controlled most of those provinces.

Concerns over the City of Qom had prevented Resistance fighters from outright seizing it. The Iranian State and the Islamic Republic, both feared a battle in the city would destroy support for either side. Qom was surrounded by July of 2023, forcing the City to formally surrender to the Resistance forces, but the City leadership was granted autonomy, operating independent from either side, allowing it to function as is, resulting in it becoming both a rallying cry from regime fighters, and a symbol of oppression for resistance fighters.

Battle of Tehran[]

In August of 2023, Resistance fighters carved their way through Hamadan and Alborz, and made a full push towards Tehran. The Capital City was besieged by tanks and Israeli forces launched airstrikes on Government positions in the region. Despite this, the City held, and Resistance forces were pushed out of Tehran and Hamadan.

The Failure to Capture Tehran, had lasting repercussions on the war effort, with morale for the Resistance decreasing in some parts of the country.

Sino-Russian Aid[]

The Aid from Russia and China served as a means to prolong the war. Mostly Chinese tanks, fighter jets, and other equipment were sent to Iran.

Collapse of Russia[]

Government Gains Momentum[]

Iranian Civil War Pearl World Final Month

The Iranian Government began a counteroffensive in January of 2024. By March, control over the Kerman Province was once more in government hands. Iran also regained control over the Eastern and Central portions of Hormozgan.

The Resistance Made a Final Push towards Isfahan, hoping to cut the Iranian forces in half, but this failed, and the result saw Iran decimating most of the heavy weaponry the Resistance had their hands on.
