The Indonesian presidential election was held on 9 July 2014. PDI-P nominee Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo defeated Gerindra Party nominee, former Lieutenant General Prabowo Subianto.
The election was considererd a landslide victory for Widodo. Winning the largest vote percentage in years, and topping Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's large victory margins.
