The Indo-Pak War of 2030 was a border clash between India and Pakistan taking place on the 5th of May 2030. Russia supported India while China supported Pakistan. It began after Pakistani spies ignited a large amount of ammonium nitrate in Goa, causing a huge explosion in the city. India condemned this, and declared war on Pakistan. After this, India approached diplomatically with the CSTO, and joined the newly formed Euro Asian Alliance.


Background[]

Ever since the independence of India and Pakistan and the partition of the British Raj, both countries have been enemies of each other and were fighting over Kashmir. Tensions between the two have been high for several years. The two countries have been involved in numbers of wars, conflicts and military standoffs. A long-running dispute over Kashmir and cross-border terrorism have been the predominant cause of conflict between the two states, excluding the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, which occurred as a direct result of hostilities stemming from the Bangladesh Liberation War in erstwhile present-day Bangladesh, or East Pakistan.

The Goa explosion incident[]

On the 7th of June 2030, A Pakistani man broke into a facility in Goa, and ignited a large amount of ammonium nitrate, and caused a huge explosion in the city. India publicly condemned this, and declared war on Pakistan four hours later in an attempt to rebuild the buildings that were destroyed.

The War[]

Four hours after the Goa explosion, India declared war on Pakistan and subsequently invaded northern Kashmir. Pakistan eventually pushed them back. There was no hostility for 3 months, and fighting continured
