George Walker Bush was born on July 6, 1946 to George Herbert Walker Bush, and Barbara Pierce. When he became president in 2001, it marked the first time in over 180 years that a father and son both served as president of the United States. Bush is regarded by most historians and most Americans as being one of the worst presidents in American history. Many cite the controversy surrounding the 2000 election and how Bush was probably not even the rightful president. Also, many people criticize Bush for his mishandling of the economy, fruitless and illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, his bungled response to Hurricane Katrina, illegal government surveillance of American citizens, and poor public speaking skills. Some of his more ardent critics even suggest that he should have been tried for war crimes.

However, there were some positive aspects about the Bush presidency. Many people praised Bush for his strong response in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, as well as his efforts to combat AIDS in Africa. Also, every agrees that Bush was genuinely a nice and relaxed guy, and was able to relate with the average person much more than most other politicians could.

After his presidency, George Bush and his wife, Laura, retired to his home in Texas. Although less active than some other former presidents, he still made his fair share of public appearances. His likability increased hugely after the election of Donald Trump, and Bush received praise for rightfully criticizes Trump's reckless policies. His mother, Barbara, passed away in 2018, and his father followed suit a few months later.

Bush continued to play a modest role in politics and entertainment in America in the 2020's. He delivered the keynote speech at Ground Zero for the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and was one of the many guests at Jimmy Carter's 100th birthday party in Atlanta, Georgia. Bush himself would turn 80 two years later. His strength began to decline in the late 2020's, and by 2030, he had huge difficulty walking. In 2031, he delivered another speech at Ground Zero for the 30th anniversary of 9/11. However, he was confined to a wheelchair and was thus unable to stand.

Bush's health continued to decline in the 2030's, and by 2035 he was barely leaving his home at all. In the spring of 2037, Bush was diagnosed with pneumonia, as well as bronchitis and a number of other ailments. Although he seemed to be recovering somewhat, his illness took a turn for the worse that August. He passed away on August 23, 2037, at 91 years of age. He was buried alongside his parents at his presidential library in College Station, Texas.
