Gabe Logan Newell (November 3rd, 1962 - December 23rd, 2056) was an American businessman and game developer who served as 49th President of the United States from 2029 to 2037. He is the second business man to serve as President after Donald Trump (2017-2021).
Career
Microsoft (1983-1996)
In 1983,a young Newell studying in the prestigious Harvard University dropped out after being convinced by Steve Ballmer, who was a high ranking executive in a then small and upcoming Washington based technology corporation, Microsoft. Following his dropout and employment in Microsoft, Newell worked there for 13 years,playing major parts in releases of operating systems Windows and it's several successors. In 1996 he left Microsoft alongside Microsoft co-worker Mike Harrington and co-founded his own company Valve Software. Valve Corporation
Co-founding Valve Software in 1996, Newell and the Valve crew began development on "Half-Life" which would eventually release in 1998. A critically acclaimed success, Half-Life would be the start to a very prosperous era in gaming,where Valve would be one of the biggest pioneers. Following the release of the Source engine, Half-Life 2 would be released. Until the release of Half-Life 3: The Alyx Problem in 2022, Half-Life 2 was widely regarded to be the best game ever made. Alongside Half-Life Newell's Valve also developed many highly succesful titles like "Portal", "Counter-Strike:Source 2" and "Team Fortress: Redemption". After the release of Valve Index 3S and Valve Index 3 Lite VR devices Newell announced that he stepped down from Valve to "pursue non-computer related life goals". He officially left Valve on December 17th, 2024
"Gabe Newell To The Ovall Office" Movement (2012-2027)
As early as the 2012 elections, there were movements started to convince Newell to be a presidential candidate. Many of the posts were ironic, but Newell admitted that these half-joking meme movements made Newell think that he'd be supported. On April 26, 2025 Newell created his new political party, "Serenity Party" in hopes of ending the unfair duopoly the Republican and Democratic Party held on the United States political climate for close to a century. On June 2nd, 2027 Newell announced that he'd be running for the title of the 49th POTUS as the candidate of his own Serenity Party. He announced former employee of his in Valve, John McDonald as his Vice-Presidential candidate.
From unknown third party candidate to majorly supported candidate (2027-2028)
On June 2nd, 2027 Newell announced that he'd be running for the title of the 49th POTUS as the candidate of his own Serenity Party. He announced former employee of his in Valve, John McDonald as his Vice-Presidental candidate. Public view would soon change on Newell and his popularity would sky rocket, as his passionate speeches and his American patriotism mixed with liberalism where needed would be the sweet spot for the American public. On top of this, numerous scandals that plagued the Democrat candidate Tulsi Gabbard's campaign, as well as the general unpopularity of Republican candidate Donald Trump Jr. further contributed to Newell's rise to popularity. Being a multi-billionaire, he was also able to fund his campaign adequately.
2028 Elections

Gabe Newell won the 2028 election against Democrat Tulsi Gabbard and Republican Donald Trump Jr. with 56.4% of the popular vote. In the early part of his Presidency, Newell began implementing environmental regulations and expanding on those put in during the Sanders Presidency. He would be inaugriated on January 20th,2029 and would begin on what is considered to be "a higher tier presidency on American history".
Post Presidency (2037 - 2043),Death And State Funeral
After his two term presidency, a now old-aged Newell retired from politics. He was given the title "Honorary Chairman" in Valve Corporation. A loving father, honored and renowed game developer, one of the greatest 21st century American presidents and the pioneer of the Newell Principles (mixture of patriotism,liberalism and a bit of socialism) Newell died on December 23rd, 2056 aged 96. His official cause of death was a cardiac arrest during his sleep. Newell's state funeral was held on December 27th and he was buried on the Newell Presidential Memorial Tomb.
