Nominees

Rollback

  • Lonix: Here we go. I have been a member since 2018 (under other accounts), and have been active here. I take breaks often, but mostly I devote a lot time on this wiki. I meet the Rollbacker criteria. Let's see here.
    • Revise and create new articles: I do that a lot. I either revise articles or create new articles.
    • Have done 250+ edits: In total on all accounts, I have 1,826 edits
    • Upload some images: I have shown the capability to upload images in this wiki.
    • Follow the guidelines of the wiki: I have shown that I followed the guidelines, both here and in the Discord.
    • Catch and revert vandalism by telling an Administrator and Bureaucrat: I have caught and reverted vandalism.
  • To sum it all up, I believe I qualify for Rollbacker criteria. I have shown the capabilities to do all of the above.

I’ve been on the wiki since the summer and have helped to, along with other users like TheJake123 and LandonExists, revive the wiki. I meet all of the requirements for Rollbacker and would apply for other positions but I’m not there yet. I’ve created a lot of articles, and added pictures to them. I caught some of the vandalism by AlNeiman a few months back and reported it although I did not personally revert it but easily could of and I did tell the current admin staff. I’ve done plenty of edits. I’ve always followed guidelines

Administrator

  • Fester: I understand that I am not the most popular user on this wiki by a mile, and that a few will think I'm making a play for power after the events of last weekend. But I believe that I am a good candidate for administrator, and I will explain why below. I have been on this wiki for three years, and wish for nothing but the success of it.
In my relatively short term as a moderator, I have not been afraid to make decisions and challenge my superiors when I thought they were in the wrong. For example, when then-admin Beta was warning and threatening to ban users for not naming their files, despite that not being a rule, only an annoyance. I called for reform to said guidelines, which many users agreed with, although nothing was done in the end. I also was not afraid to challenge Aiothai, being the author of his demotion thread. In the immediately following Beta situation, I took the effort to listen to both sides before I made a decision on what side to take. Even then, I let Beta argue for his side before closing the thread once it got out of hand. I am not the type of person to stay in the middle, but I will extensively research a situation to make sure everybody is heard, then take a side based on what I think was right. I think that this is vitally important. As an administrator, sometimes you will have to take sides in pretty ugly situations. I don't base mine on emotion, and as I have proven over my tenure on this wiki, I am willing to get into them, even before my tenure as a staff member, such as calling for people to make compromises some time around Christmas.
The only other administrator on this wiki is Ryan, and meaning absolutely no disrespect to him, isn't active that much. I am constantly active on the Discord server and active here on the wiki as well. I think that having another administrator around would be useful, for example today, in which some people were unwilling to take action on something after a vote on it. (You know what I'm talking about.) I would take action instantly. It is essential that there is another active administrator on the wiki willing to take action when others are unwilling/inactive.
The criteria is as follows:
To qualify as an administrator, the user must demonstrate the ability and willingness to:
  • Do everything that you have to do as an Rollbacker
  • I have explained in detail the amount of work I have done as a rollbacker above.
  • Create a blog
  • I've made ten on my current account.
  • Have done 500+ edits
  • My current account has 1,756 edits, but if you combine them all it's close to 4 times 500.
  • Categorize some pages and categories.
  • I have categorised many pages, my own and others.
  • Devote a significant amount of time to the wiki
  • The three years speaks for itself. I have been particularly active from the Autumn of last year to now, with a break in the Winter.
  • Catch and revert vandalism on your own with a Wikia tool
  • I have caught and reverted vandalism many times.
As I've said previously, I understand that many will not support my promotion, and I accept that, you have your reasons. But I hope that you consider. Thanks, Fester 16:57, GMT, 04/06/19
