France is a nation within Europe.

History[]

After dodging it in 2017 with the election of Emmanuel Macron, in 2022 after a disastrous presidency, the French elected National Rally candidate Marion Maréchal, niece of Marine Le Pen, as their next president, defeating Macron 53-47. Maréchal's election was the fall of France to the far-right. Her presidency saw crackdown on liberties for French Muslims and French Jews, resulting in most fleeing the country for Quebec. Reports of discrimination increased massively for those who weren't white or who did not follow the majority of French culture, over the ten years she was president. They would also flee France for other countries, including Quebec. Maréchal would also see warming relations with Russian President and dictator Vladimir Putin and souring of relations with the United States. In 2026, after a referendum, France would leave the European Union, and as a result, start its end. The Franc would be reintroduced in the Euro's place.

Maréchal would be succeeded by fellow NR member Nicolas Bay. Bay would continue much of Maréchal's policies and would also see the independence of most of French overseas territories, after denial to "become more French" from regional leaders. The French would provide no aid to these newly independent countries, with President Bay saying "they wanted to be independent, we gave them independence. Full independence. This is what they wanted, right?"
