The Algiers Friendship Treaty, commonly known as the Algiers Pact, is a pro-Russian economic alliance between Algeria, Sudan, Mali and Madagascar in the Great African War, which later then became part of WW3 and the main enemy of the African Entente. Their purpose is to spread Eastern influence across Africa. It was formed after the African Entente was formed and declared war on Algeria over the invasion of Tunisia. The Algiers Pact merged with the Euro Asian Alliance after the United States, Egypt and the rest of the World Defence Pact declared war on the alliance. In 2043, the US imposed sanctions on Algeria for threatening peace in Africa and for starting a war. Despite the fact that it contains the word "fascism" in their main motto, they are not really fascists, but they are fascist sympathisers.

History[]

Invasion of Tunisia and formation[]

On the 7th of July 2042, Algeria began a military buildup on Tunisia's borders. A day later, Algeria invaded the country. The invasion ended in a success, but it caused the Lagos Cooperation Organisation to declare war on Algeria because Tunisia is an LCO member. This also caused the Lusaka Pact, and the Congolese Brotherhood to declare war on Algeria, form the African Entente and invade the country. Algeria asked Sudan for help, and Sudan accepted. Both Algeria and Sudan sign the Algiers Friendship Treaty, commonly known as the Algiers Pact, an economic alliance whose purpose is to spread Eastern influence in Africa. Mali joined the AP after this. But the EU sanctioned Algeria for threatening peace and causing chaos in Africa. This prompted the US to impose sanctions on the country. Madagascar joined the Algiers Pact after a nationalist coup in the country backed by India.

Economic sanctions on Algeria[]

In 2043, the US imposed diplomatic and economic sanctions on Algeria for threatening peace in Africa. This caused the country to severe relations with the US. The Great African War was still ongoing. Sudan invaded Northeast Chad while Chad invaded South Darfur. Nigeria and Mauritania launched "Juggernaut", the invasion of Mali. Mauritania was collecting intel from the US and China. Algeria began an invasion of Mauritania. Madagascar began a naval invasion of Mozambique, "Mozambique Channel", after the country was stealing intel from the EAA and sending it to Australia.

The US declares war on the Algiers Pact[]

On the 30th of April 2044, the United States declared war on the Algiers Pact, along with Egypt, Ethiopia, the East African Federation, South Africa, the United Kingdom, France and Australia. Italian and Libyan forces then come to liberate Tunisia. Australian forces arrived at the shores of eastern Madagascar, and began operation Barton. They called it Barton to name it after the first prime minister of Australia, Edmund Barton. Moroccan troops then cross the Algerian border. The US and Australia gave intel stolen from the EAA to the African Entente and gave them supplies. Sudan's neighbours launched "Quarterback", the invasion of Sudan. Australian and Mozambican forces have encircled Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, and surrendered. They begin focusing on Mali and Algeria. Mauritanian forces have already reached Bamako, causing Mali to surrender. They then focus on the invasion of Sudan, and the battle of Khartoum begins. Sudan surrenders a week later. Now, they focus on Algeria. The allies then launch an invasion of the country. French forces then land on Algeria's coastline, and head for Algiers.

Siege of Algiers and final days[]

On the morning of 27th November 2044, French forces landed on the shores of Algeria, and began to head for Algiers. The WDP also headed westward. After this, the WDP encircle Algiers, besieging the city. The rest of the Algerian army retreat to Algiers to defend the city. This begins the siege of Algiers. Meanwhile on the shores of Egypt, Libya and Egypt are assembling a D-Day, ready for the liberation of Greece and Turkey from occupation of the EAA. They codenamed it "Bloodsucker". They then leave for Greece and Turkey. After Algiers was captured, Khaled Tebboune, the son of Abdelmadjid Tebboune, went hiding, but he got caught. Algerian forces laid down their arms, and unconditionally surrendered to the WDP, ending the final major battle of WW3 in Africa. A treaty will be signed in Accra. This brings an end to the Algiers Pact, thus disbanding the alliance. After this, representatives of the Algiers Pact are sent to court, and declared guilty for war crimes.
