The European Federation is a new superpower that was founded during the rise of Ultranationalism after the great Solar Flare of 2020 and was founded during the 2040s before the outbreak of the PMC Wars. The European Federation is a political and economic powerhouse in the face of political division throughout the world. Though publicized as an evolution of the European Union, demanding admission criteria disenfranchised all but the wealthiest nations of Europe. The European Federation has a population and GNP greater than the United States of America, and has a greater level of military technological advancement. The fact that Europe is a federation indicates that its members have some form of self government but will be ruled by a central federal government.
History
United Nations Civil War
Formation of the European Federation
After the Great Solar Flare of 2020 wiped out the worlds supplies of Modern Computer Technology, a rise in Ultranationalism, the European Union struggled to maintain order. After the Russian Federation fell to Ultranationalism and the United States fell to Ultranationalism, the European Union began to consider official unification. As the worlds supplies of oil began to run thin, the idea of a United Europe with overseas territories began to appear in droves. After the European-Arabic War of the 2050s led to the worlds resources being shifted, the ideals of a United Europe finally took hold.
The European Federation/Coalition was formed in 2062. The Capital of the European Federation would be Brussels, Belgium with three international cities of Paris, Hamburg, and Warsaw. The European Federation rose up the ranks to be the most technologically advanced nation in the new world, and it's the third most powerful nation in the known world, right underneath the African Union. The country has several overseas dominions such as French Guinea, Madagascar, and the Falkland Islands, who's citizens are treated as European Federation Citizens.
In 2092 after the European Federation was conquered by the Russian Federation during the United Nations Civil War, the EF was officially absorbed into Russia. It's citizens were subject to brutal and awful treatment, but were powerless to rise up despite the many resistance movements. Well two years later in 2094 after Europe was liberated, the European Federation was reestablished, and later in 2096 when Russia surrendered, the European Federation was left in an awkward limbo. The continent was destroyed, and many formed resistance movements felt that they wanted independence.
Fall of the EF
The fall of the European Federation began in 2098, when the Scandinavian countries of Sweden and Finland declared independence from the European Federation, and Norway even joined in the fun. Together these nations formed the Second Kalmar Union. Denmark was initially going to break away from the EF, however after the EF increased the number of troops in the region, it led to a full scale war between the two countries.
The second blow to the European Federation began in 2099 when the nations of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Belarus (Which was annexed by the EF after the UN Civil War) broke away from the EF after the European Federation enforced a strict quota and curfew on the Slavic peoples living there. These nations formed the "Slavic Commonwealth of Europe" and rebelled against the European Federation. Initially, the Slavic Commonwealth of Europe and the Second Kalmar Union were going to ally themselves, however after some tense relations and a minor skirmish, the two began to fight each other.
The European Federation Civil War is still unresolved as of the year 2110. There are rumors that the Russian Federation might get involved in the war, however there has been no update on that considering the fate the world is going to.
Federation-American War
After the Russo-American War at the end of 2026, the European Coalition was left in an awkward spot. As the division of the world began to take shape, the idea of a united European State, one of neutrality began to take shape. In 2038 after European Forces pulled out of Russia, the United States, China, and the Korean Penninsula, the idea of so called "Pan Europeanism" began to take shape once again.
In the year 2055 after the European-Iranian War, the European nations signed the "Paris Accords." The European Federation is created with a population and GDP greater than the United States. The European Federation however is met with international backlash. The country is seen as the outlier compared to the conflict brewing between China and the United States, and the new and revolutionary new Private Military Corporation known as "SPIRE." The European Federation needed something big, and they were gonna get it.
PMC Wars
In the year 2060, the largest Private Military Corporation in the world went rouge and declared war against practically every nation in the world. The UNSC-SPIRE War was taken to the home front when SPIRE Corporation launched an invasion into Spain, Italy, Portugal, etc. The European Federation became the worlds industrial machine, and became the worlds greatest supplier of weapons, equipment, and men in order to fight SPIRE Corporation.
After SPIRE Corporation was defeated, the European Federation undoubtedly had the largest economy in the world. However, the combination of the European-Iranian War and the war against SPIRE Corporation would create a rift that would cause a rift in world politics.
Federation-American War
The Federation-American War broke out in the year 2075, after a new country called the "Federation of the Americas" (A United South America) and the former superpower of the United States. The European Federation was dragged into the war in 2080 when the Federation of the Americas declared war against the European Federation. The European Federation fought as hard as they could, but the Federation's overwhelming tactics were never before seen, and the European Federation was forced to surrender. The Europeans were subject to awful treatment, but were powerless to rise up.
In 2085, after the United States and the Russian Federation liberated Europe, the European Federation was reestablished. The European Federation's first act after being reestablished was a declaration of war against the Federation of the Americas. The European Federation being practically wiped off the face of the Earth was unable to contribute much until 2087 when the United States, Russia, Australia, India, South Korea, etc. launched a full scale invasion of the Federation to end the war.
The European Federation still exists as of 2100. The country is still rebuilding from the Federation-American War, but it's well on the right track to rebuilding the continent to the new age.
Military

The Military of the European Federation is the European Federation enforcer corps. The enforcer corps is comprised of some of the most elite military units in the world from the French GIGN to some of the most elite German Military Units. The Enforcer Cops main assault rifle is the French FAMAS assault rifle as well as the MP5 Sub Machine Gun. The Enforcer Corps also uses some of the best tanks in the business such as the Leopard 3 tanks and it's ground forces are, as one person called it...
"The European Enforcer Corps are nothing like you can ever see. They are aggressively determined to complete any mission thrown at them and they will run into a battle with an empty hand, but they are kind when needed and gentle around others when needed. The fact they can be both takes a special kind of Human to be that" - American Brigadier General Maxwell Clayton.
United Nations Civil War
The Enforcer Corps are equipped with all the modern equipment of the time. It's the first military in the world after the Great Solar Flare of 2020 to abandon the computerized militaries and go entire mechanical. However, the Russian Federation being a technologically undeveloped country before the outbreak of the United Nations Civil War soon became the worlds sole superpower.
Federation-American War
After the European Coalition lost World War III and the European-Iranic War, the Enforcer Corps was deemed as a sideshow to American and Chinese tensions. However, after the UNSC-SPIRE War, the European Enforcer Corps was proven to be an effective military force fighting the most effectively during the war against SPIRE Corporation. After the SPIRE War, the European Enforcer Corps overtook the United States as the most effective fighting force in the world.
However, the European Enforcer Corps as an effective fighting force would be downgraded. During the Federation-American War, the Federation of the Americas using blitzkrieg tactics, chemical weapons, and EMP weaponry managed to conquer the European Federation and most of the European Continent in a matter of only five days. The European Federation however wasn't giving up just yet, and the Enforcer Corps was proven to be the best guerilla force in the fighting world.
Territory

The European Federation's territory consists of the European Union's original member states as well as new countries. Some members of the European Federation such as the United Kingdom and Iceland are "Loose Members" which means they have there own government and have there own militaries that are separate from the enforcer corps. Some countries in Europe such as Switzerland had no desire to join the European Federation. Other countries such as Vatican City joined the European Federation but had there own leaders. Countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, and Kosovo were rejected due to the conflicts that were erupting in that region. However, one country, aka Turkey, was rejected membership of the European Federation due to the Turkish Civil War still brewing.

Government
United Nations Civil War
The European Federation is mostly a left Authoritarian State. The Government of the European Federation maintains loose control over it's citizens, however the European Federation uses secret police and other methods to try and sway political opposition. One offense is making fun of the Prime Minister of the European Federation. Depending on the severity of the so called "offense" it could either walk free or you could end up in jail for three years. The citizens of the European Federation mostly just went along with what the Government told them to do.
After the Russian Federation was defeated during the United Nations Civil War, the European Federation toughened it's rules and became more strict, most notably in Eastern Europe. During the United Nations Civil War when Russia occupied the European continent, the Russians treated fellow Eastern Europeans with kindness and basically gave them everything they wanted. After Russia was defeated, the European Federation imposed a strict quota the Eastern European territories had to meet, and Enforcer Corps troops also put in curfews and even stepped up surveillance in from places. This was until the Eastern European nations rebelled and declared there independence.
The European Federation still exists as a full blown Authoritarian Ultranationalist State, and it's future as of 2110 still remains in the balance.
Federation-American War
The European Federation is, as the title implies, a Federation/Presidential Republic. It's Government is mostly leans towards the left, however it does have some right aspects to it's government. The Government of the European Federation is divided into three parts. The first and largest branch is the "Local Councils" in which each member state holds an election for people who will represent there state. The next branch is the council of the European Federation, in which each local council representative meet in Brussels, Belgium. Then there is the "Head of State Council" which consists of the Prime Minister of the European Federation and his/her advisors. Each "Division" as the European Government called it has the power to override and overrule the other.
After the end of the Federation-American War, the European Federation was reestablished. Despite the European Continent being wiped off the face of the Earth, the European Federation continued to try and maintain order and stability with some help from the Russian Government. It's still in the process of rebuilding from the Federation-American War, but it is mostly on the right track.
