The Destruction and Rebirth scenario consists of three periods. The Great Destruction was a short but extremely deadly war in 2044 that wiped out almost all developed countries and numerous peoples. The Great Chaos was a period of global chaos that ended in South Asia in 2047 but only ended in Central Africa in the 22th Century. The Global Recovery happened after that and finally another age of rapid human development took place.
The pre-destruction world
Before the Great Destruction the world was rapidly developing. Regional wars did happen. However there were no wars among major powers.
The Great Destruction
It was unclear what caused the Great Destruction. The actual events during the Great Destruction were even less clear. Right now there is a branch of history known as Destruction Studies. Historians from countries such as India and Vietnam often visit the Dead Zone to attempt to understand what even happened.
