The British Civil War
The British Civil War was a period of conflict which occurred between 21st June 2032 and 16th May 2035.
The Referendum[]
On the 21st June 2032 there was a referendum on the future of the monarchy which resulted in a 65% majority victory for those in favour of the royal family. However, The Scottish voted for the abolishment of the Royal family
Aftermath[]
The reason Scotland voted for the abolishment of the royal family was due to the increasing number of Scots who believed Britain should become a republic.
Ever since the general election in 2030 the SNP had promised that they would cut funding for the royal family. They felt that the taxes were being wasted on the royal family instead of more important issues such as the NHS, military, and police.
Due to the increasing support of the SNP there were rumours that the SNP wanted a second independence referendum after the 2014 referendum didn't work out the way they wanted.
The Second Scottish Referendum[]
The Leader of the SNP discussed the idea of a second referendum at a meeting with the Prime minister at 10 Downing Street. After hours of discussion the prime minister rejected a second referendum in order to keep the UK together for a brighter future.
