The 2076 United States presidential election was the 73rd quadrennial presidential election. It was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2076. In a three way election, The Social Democratic nominee of Rhode Island Senator Evelyn Chu defeated the Republican nominee of Secretary of the Treasury under the Weaver administration Edward Goldstein and the Libertarian nominee of Buisnessman Skylar McCarty. Chu became the first democratic female president elected in her own right, the first Female Asian President, and the first Asian President overall since Andrew Yang. McCarty became the first gender-nonconforming Presidential candidate
President Chu would end up being assassinated on October 23, 2079 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she would inevitably be succeeded by Vice President Bates as per Article II, Section I of the U.S. constitution.
