The 2032 United States Presidential Election was the 62nd U.S. Presidential Election, being held on November 5, 2032. The Democratic Party ticket of Greg Casar - the incumbent Vice President and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Vice) - the House of Representatives Speaker defeated the Republican Party ticket of Nikki Haley - the former Governor of South Carolina and Tim Scott - a Junior Senator for South Carolina. The Democrats won by a decent win with 310 Electoral Votes, 51.1% of the vote and 25 States + Nebraska District-2 + District of Columbia. The Republicans lost with only 228 Electoral Votes, 47.2% of the vote and 25 States. The Democrats lost multiple states since the last election.
In the Democratic Party, Vice President Greg Casar challenged Gavin Newsom for candidate after his sketchy 'Republican Deal', which turned of majority of Democrats away, along with the fact many were sick of elderly leaders and wanted younger leadership. Josh Shapiro (Governor of Pennsylvania) also ran in the two-candidate primary, but lost by a landslide. Casar won against Newsom with 3,463 Votes, with Newsom achieving only 2,985 Votes. Shapiro achieved only 523 Votes. Casar chose Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as his running mate.
In the Republican Party, only four candidates ran in the primaries, although Haley was predicted to win. The candidates were Nikki Haley (Former Governor of South Carolina), Ted Cruz (Senator for Texas), Greg Abbott (Former Governor of Texas) and Ron DeSantis (Governor of Florida). Haley won with 2,141 Votes, while Abbott achieved the least with a terrible 54 Votes. Nikki Haley chose her South Carolina Senator friend - Tim Scott as her running mate.
The main topics in the election were Foreign Affairs, the Republican Deal, Climate Change, the "Young Political Wave" and Immigration. Haley was criticized for her poor and factless performance in the debate.
On January 20, 2033, Greg Casar was officially inaugurated President of the United States, with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez becoming Vice President.
