Background[]

During President Trump's second term, a stock market crash happened, which caused a recession for almost 2 years. This caused the Democratic Party to gain a super-majority in the house of representatives and gain back the senate.

After the recession, President Trump approval numbers started to go up. But however, the 2024 election was projected to be a competitive election.
