The 2024 United States presidential election was the 60th quadrennial American presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The Democratic ticket of Vice President Kamala Harris and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper narrowly defeated Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Indiana Senator Todd Young in the general election. Vice President Harris and Governor Cooper were inaugurated as the 47th President and 50th Vice President of the United States.

President Biden administration did remarkably well in stabilizing the economy and achieving many of the items that President Biden set out to do such as Education reform, improvements for rural America, and of course building on the affordable health care act. President Biden's approval was in the mid 50's to low 60's.

Haley was able to campaign similar to George Bush with a compassionate conservatism style. However with Biden's high approvals, great economic scores and the suburban realignment, Harris was able to prove triumphant. Her running mate Roy Cooper was said to help her flip the state of North Carolina by a narrow margin.
